The summer of 25 - Europe

This week, I've focused on the hottest, most sought-after summer itineraries in Europe. Discounts might not be as low as you might hope, but that is because these itineraries are the ones most people want, and they will sell out fast. As evidence of this, you will see very few balcony cabins left.
This will be a deal breaker for many, who will not consider a cruise unless they can get a balcony. This can be a limiting factor, especially if your budget is tight. We routinely see people choosing B-list ports over the best of Europe simply because of their fixation with a balcony.
Given the choice, I would take an oceanview cabin over a balcony every time if it meant the difference between visiting my bucket list destinations.
I can absolutely guarantee that on any of the cruises below, from the moment you wake up, the last place you would want to be is in your cabin. Instead, you want to be up on deck, at the poolside bar, or exploring the medieval streets.
The best way to put it all into perspective is to focus on the cost per day and compare this to what you would otherwise need to spend on the ground. In prime destinations in Europe, $300/400 a night is nowadays the bare minimum you can expect to pay for a mediocre hotel, at best. Even then, you will never get a decent outlook and, indeed, never an oceanfront view with a balcony.
You simply can not see Europe for a lower price and more luxurious way than on a cruise, especially considering all the additional inclusions. Most of our preferred brands include all meals, entertainment, port fees, taxes, full open bar, mini bar, and wifi. All of which have an indicative cost/saving of several hundred dollars per night.
I'm suggesting here that you consider being more flexible when selecting a cabin. This will broaden your options exponentially and make your holiday dollar go a hell of a lot further.
Here's a hard, fast example. Say your budget is $2500-3000. If you are only prepared to consider a balcony, you will likely only be able to afford the South of France, which I tend to think is overrated. By broadening your search to include ocean-view options, Croatia, Venice, and the best of the Greek Islands will drop within your budget.
And that's the basis of this update.
