Royal Caribbean Corner Post #4

An airline analogy: when you board an aircraft having purchased a Business Class or First Class seat, you've purchased the space and the service that accompanies that space. Generally a Business seat has double the space of an Economy seat, with First sometimes 4 and 5 times the space.
A cruise ship is no different. And Royal Caribbean has some of the largest and most comfortable suites within the broader demographic and family friendly cruise market.
In a previous post I briefly wrote about Royal Caribbean's Frequent Cruiser program The Crown and Anchor Society, and in this post I will talk more about Royal Caribbean's Suite Program and its benefits and inclusions
So let's start at the 2nd top suite aboard Royal's Quantum, Ovation, Anthem & Odyssey of the Seas ships - The Owners Loft
Note: Anthem and Quantum Of the Seas will be back in Australia for our summer season stating late October / early November
If size, space and inclusions are important to you then read on. 😊✅
The Owners Loft is a 2 story residence spanning decks 8 and 9 having 3 balconies, 2.5 bathrooms, and covers 90 M2 internal space and 40 M2 of balcony space.

On a recent sailing we were a party of 6 adults and chose the Owners Loft (OL) Cabin 8720 and Grand Loft (GL) Cabin 8724
The team at 6Star4Less will be familiar with RCL cabin designators should you wish to book these grades of suites.
The Owners Loft measures 90.6m2 internals and has 3 balconies measuring 46 m2. That is the size of many home apartments. By comparison a standard balcony category 3D or 4D measures about 18.4m2, so about 1/5th the size of an Owners Loft, and balcony space at about 1/8th the size @ 5.11m2

There are also multiple internal spaces in this Owners Loft, multiple bathrooms, toilets, sleeping zones, work areas, and storage with walk in wardrobe, closets, etc.

The Royal, Owners and Grand Lofts are further differentiated as Star Class and come with all the trimmings.

Most notable are:
Gratuities included, free WiFi, Unlimited Beverage Package, Specialty Dining, hand picked Reserved Seating in the Royal Theatre and Two Seventy, private Flowrider (surf simulator) Sessions, Ifly (Indoor Skydiving) sessions and lastly the Royal Genie.
By far the most beneficial asset is your Royal Genie. They will reach out to you pre cruise and help with the planning of your holiday.
We know which table we want in Coastal Kitchen ( suite only dining room ) and our Genie will liaise with Restaurant staff to facilitate this.
We know seat preferences in the Royal Theatre for specific shows, The Genie will meet us a Theatre entrance and escort us to our preferred seats. The benefit of reserved seating allows us to amble to the Royal Theatre or Two70 (where other shows play), not rush our evening meal, and not have to queue to stake out good seating. It becomes a very retful experience.
Mostly the Genie knows our beverage preferences whether a cocktail, single malt, or just a bottle of sparkling water. And those will be served to us as we are seated.
The Genie will be there to meet us on Day 1 Embarkation and also escort us on last day Disembarkation.
You communicate with your Genie via WhatsApp, and they are your point of contact for the cruise, whether for billing enquiries, room service, suite to be cleaned, laundry, dry cleaning or pressing to be done etc.
Dry cleaning, pressing and laundry done daily and returned quickly is all included. For us this means travelling lighter with leass clothes as we can send out clothes whenever we require. It also means at cruise end we come home with suitcases of clothes that are washed & pressed

§ Royal Genie Services are for guests residing in Star Class Suites. Due to the exclusive nature of these services, they cannot be extended to friends and family members sailing on the same voyage who are not booked as Star Class guests.
Family friendly activities include rockclimbing wall, Ifly Indoor skydiving, roller skating, pickle ball, basketball, dodgem cars, indoor arcade and so much more.
I cannot recommend Star Class highly enough. Royal Caribbean has great ships serving the Australian summer cruise season and these ships will appeal to the broader family market with the Owners Loft having the ability to sleep 4 guests or 5 with certain restrictions.
I hope this article gives you some ideas for your next cruise through James 6Star4Less and his awesome staff.
